Owl bookmark for Leftiblind -photo-

My friend Leftblind asked me to draw her a bookmark so she would always remember me (such a sweet request! ) and she wanted an owl bookmark! I'm really glad she requested this, because she's an important friend to me and saying she wanted something from me... is just nice to hear ^^ Yeah, I'm a simple person...

Aaaand since I already started a bird bookmark project, it was like the prefect theme for me! :3 I chose the barn owl, Tyto Alba. I had so much fun painting the owl even though I was worried at the beginning, because I'm not really good at drawing owls... I wanted to create a dreamy bookmark that would combine everything I feel about a bookmark should have. And the owl theme really helped with that And I also hope I managed to give it something from myself - bright colors (the only thing I noticed keeps appearing in my drawings, so I accepted it as the only sign of "my style" ), my soul, tears and blood (just kidding ) and my feelings I have about reading and my friend Enjoy!

P.S. I actually wanted to give it to her as a birthday gift, but... as always, I can't do things properly and on time T.T So an almost month late B-Day gift... sorry x'D

 watercolor background + acrylic bird painting
 on canvas strengthened (geez this word o.o) with gloss paper as a middle layer and a color paper as a back cover layer (this time mint green)
